Modern elevator is mainly composed of tractor (winch), guide rail, counterweight device, safety device (such as speed limiter, safety clamp and buffer), signal control system, car and hall door. These parts are installed in the well and machine room of the building respectively. Wire rope friction drive is usually used. Wire rope bypasses the traction wheel. The two ends are connected to the car and the balance weight respectively. The traction wheel is driven by the motor to lift the car. Elevators are required to be safe, reliable, efficient, accurate and comfortable.
